I am most intrigued by how relatable we all are at our core. One day I likened such thoughts to

the days of the week and am now sharing this for my first blog.

"The Plight of Days"

Do they really talk of it?

Impossible you say!

May I submit this little bit

of lore about the days?

Tuesday chided Wednesday,

when he had enough.

“I don’t believe that you and me

should have to take this guff!

All anybody raves over

is Friday’s great potential.

The rest of us are seemingly

indeed inconsequential.”

Thursday spouted “You are right!

Though I come just before him,

I simply have no purpose

while I’m wallowing in boredom.”

Sunday is more positive

for she herself reflects

upon her place entwined in time

with coveted respect.

Then there’s Monday,

stigmatized

by a guilt complex.

Ever doomed to being labeled

as the day that’s vexed!

Not to mention Saturday,

ultimately miffed.

Always in the shadow of

The Great TGIF!

Seven Days are in the week

and all have their own chances

to make the best of where they’re at

despite their circumstances.

My Musing for the Week … Poetic Hearts

A poet’s heart must e’er be free

To expound creatively

Upon that which the mind perceives

And from whence the heart believes.
