The Giving Clock

I have now moved into this new phase of life in the bustling city of Greeley, Colorado, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

The quiet of the charming clock

that now graces my wall

e'er reminds me of the passing

moments that we all

Cling unto as we go through

the perils of this life.

Yea, but for the simple times

that carry us through strife.

Glancing at the 2nd hand,

marking every move.

Even as I make note of

the things I've yet to do.

Somehow finding comfort

in familiarity

of this ancient time peace

in modern society.

This lovely clock was given

as a sweet housewarming treasure.

It now holds a special place

in my future endeavors.

I shall watch the time slip by

as I have always done,

with enthusiasm for

this new phase I've begun.

As our Lord has granted time

to each one of us.

While we're given charge over

what is and what once was.

May we use it wisely.

May we cherish all the years.

Our future and the memories

that we all hold most dear.

It looks like I have come full circle having been raised in

and around the city of Los Angeles California.

My Musing for the Week … Prioritize

It's not simply a matter of

the dreams we're clinging to.

The fact is, it is that which

we prioritize, we'll do.
