D'Lady Snickelfritz

T'were called jalopies back in the day. Rattle traps, with real names. This one was driven by Phyllis.

"D'Lady Snickelfritz"
D'Lady Snickelfritz,
beat up and tattered.
The car of your dreams,
except where it mattered.
A hood that would rattle.
No paint on the door.
You could drag both your feet
where they took out the floor!
The gear shift was just an
old rusted out wrench.
Her back seat; a modified
wooden park bench!
Her front grill was drooping.
Her headlights, suspect.
But hey, when you drove her,
she earned your respect.
Cause no one could catch
her V-8, in groove,
or come close to matching
the way she could move.
D'Lady Snickelfritz.
The Queen of the road.
At least that is sort of
how this story's told.
Call it a right of passage ...
My Musing for the Week … WHATEVER IT TAKES
When all else fails
and time is on your side
Innovation will prevail
and overcome you're pride!
